Our valued client, The Marine Hotel Ballycastle is looking for a Deputy General Manager to oversee all hotel operations, with a strong focus on Food & Beverage. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leadership & Management: Deputise in the absence of the General Manager and lead the team to achieve operational excellence.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage all daily hotel operations within budget and to the highest standards.
  • Guest Experience: Maintain outstanding levels of internal and external customer service, responding proactively to guest needs, complaints, and reviews.
  • Team Development: Recruit, train, and develop an engaged and high-performing F&B team.
  • Financial Responsibility: Forecast, plan, and manage F&B orders, staffing, and budgets to achieve financial targets.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all statutory and company H&S regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen, events, and reception teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Event Management: Oversee multiple events within the property, utilising trained personnel effectively. You will be required to work at least two late shifts to 11pm each week to allow for the work-life balance of other managers.
  • Performance Monitoring: Set targets, KPIs, and policies in collaboration with the GM and Accounts team.
  • Professional Development: Foster a culture of learning, using training programs and development plans to enhance team skills.

What You’ll Have:

  • Strong leadership and delegation skills.
  • Proven experience in food & beverage management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Bizimply, Resdiary, and POS systems.
  • Ability to resolve problems efficiently and proactively.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
  • Experience in complaint handling, conflict resolution, and staff development.
  • Passion for personal and professional growth.
